NHIOnDemand Interactions & Depletions Database
The NHIOnDemand Professional Health & Wellness Library provides third party clinical research and education on integrative medicine, all of which is disseminated through a functional and relational database via the web. All of the information we provide is interactive and relational making it easy to research a vast amount of information at one central location.
Interactions & Depletions
Over 5,000 single entries representing interactions between herbs and
drugs, supplements and drugs, and herbs and supplements.* While studies
and supplements are not rated in our database, the interactions are. This is
done in an effort to allow the user to quickly review possible conflicts,
between supplement use and current drug therapies. Interactions and depletions
are supported by current and reliable sources.
- Potential/Theoretical interactions are based on pharmacology. These may have
research to support them, but this research may not determine how these effects
occurred.
- Study Supported interactions are supported by animal or in vitro studies that
provide significant information regarding a specific interaction.
- Clinically Proven interactions are those that are supported by significant
research, and the results have been able to be duplicated.
- The interaction database is fully searchable by generic drug name, drug
category, or dietary supplement.
